Now Open for Business

The Round Rock Sports Center held their first tournaments in the new 85,000 SF facility designed by Marmon Mok. This multi-purpose/multi-user indoor sports complex for the City of Round Rock is set to host youth basketball, volleyball and other indoor sports tournaments, competitions and public events. The facility includes fixed spectator seating for 2,000 people, a catering kitchen/concessions and three multi-purpose rooms that breakout into nine rooms for smaller training and meetings. The complex also utilizes existing warehouses for covered parking and a family picnic pavilion. 1-29-2014

Green School

Dr. John M. Folks Middle School, Northside ISD, has been approved for recognition from the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) as a ‘TX-CHPS Designed’ Facility. Some of the points that were targeted for this project include: Leadership, Education & Innovation; Sustainable Sites; Water; Energy; Materials & Waste Management; and Indoor Environmental Quality. 1-6-2014

New Year, New Projects

Marmon Mok has recently been awarded new projects that will kick off in the New Year: the Northside ISD Competitive Gym, Texas Tech Stadium Master Plan and the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts Parking Garage. 1-3-2014

Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center Groundbreaking

The Hunt/Zachry/Populous/Marmon Mok team celebrated the transformation progress of the Henry B. González Convention Center at the groundbreaking in mid-December with the City of San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau. 12-18-2013

Blinn College Kruse Center

With a growing Recreation Sports Knowledge Group, Marmon Mok has been awarded a planning, design and construction phase services contract for a student recreation and activity center for Blinn College at the Brenham Campus. The project, Kruse Center, is estimated to be 36,625 SF of building space. 9-9-2013

School is in Session

On the first day of school this year, students, teachers and faculty were excited for the opening of the new Dr. John Folks Middle School in Northside Independent School District. The Marmon Mok design is a two-story, 190,200 SF classroom and administration building sustainable elements in the Texas-Collaborative for High Performance Schools Certification. 8-26-2013
